...a courageous fren...

...suddenly i was thinking of this friend and thus i shot an email to him. i know him from incovar and since then, he has been a very close fren. lost touch with him for quite some time di.

we met in one of the incovar camps and we instantly clique so well. after the camp, we became close frens. he visits me in upm and we met up with each other to chat about stuff, etc. he was 2nd year student in tarc doing computer science. i was in 3rd year upm doing electronic computer engineering.

one day he came and find me and told me he wants to quit from tarc and asked me what i think. he hated computer science and his parents wanted him to do that course. yea, same as many other people. but this friend, i really salute him. i talked and talked to him and finally he have decided to drop everything in tarc and wanted to do something else. we talked about it and found out he is interested in sports. i helped him enrolled in upm doing sports and recreational studies. his parents was against it of course, but he persisted. i took him round upm, looking for the dean, waiting outside the deans office, ask his help, talk to dean, etc to consider his application.

yeap, finally when he got his confirmation letter, he was overjoyed. instantly he calld me and told me the good news. yeap, finally he got what he wanted to do. though needs another like few more years to graduate, it doesnt matter to him. he got what he wanted. and i think he is the most courageous fren i know of then. i am of course happy for him. but when he joined upm, i left upm - i graduated di.

we continued to keep in touch, i passed him my notes, those relevants ones, etc. we were close. years passed, he graduated and found some odd jobs here and there before landing himself with the olympic council. i was like, wow, this fren of mine is gengz.

so, today i mailed him and find out how he was. and he told me he is currently working in new zealand; still with the olympic council and he loved his job so much. and he has never been happier. his decision to leave tarc has made him who he is today. and i am glad that i was there to walk the path with him.

his name is fong wan hor, and i want to dedicate this page to him for his courageous act that time and for being a wonderful friend all these while. check him out below and the beautiful scenery of new zealand...
